Item Description
Let Craig Zondag be your guide, on your property or another place of your choosing ie. The Robert Frost Trail, The Paths at Spirit in Nature or a random frolic in the forest. We'll look and listen for birds, discover what's underfoot, read the landscape and discover the story of the land and it's inhabitants.
Winter Wanderer
Remember it's your choosing. If you have snowshoes, we can explore Natures secrets in Winter, looking at trees, animal tracks in the snow and perhaps find "snow fleas!" (Totally harmless.)
Spring Saunter
The Green Mountains are full of Spring Treasures. The return of neo-tropical birds which nest up here, Spring ephemerals blossoming on the forest floor, from violets to orchids and signs of other wildlife activity like beavers and the first Red Efts of the season.
No matter what we come upon, my goal is to put you in closer relationship with Nature and see that you are part of it as well.
Whether you want a one on one experience or would like to invite up to 5-7 friends to share the experience, it's your choice.
We'll coordinate a time that works for all of us and remain flexible enough to re-schedule due to unforeseen circumstances or less than desirable conditions to explore the area you want to learn about.
Who is Craig Zondag?
Craig is and has been his whole life from childhood, growing his relationship with Nature and learning everyday from it. He has an innate sense of wonder that he's been told is contagious. He has been a Director of Outdoor and Environmental Education in Michigan, served on Audubon Society Boards in 4 states including right here in VT (Otter Creek Audubon Society) and currently serves on the OCAS Education and Grants Scholarship Committee. He is a Field Biologist for the Lemon Fair Insect Control District from Spring through Fall. Craig has too many outdoor hobbies to mention, but has a passion for birds. His favorite animal is a dragonfly. Craig also considers it a privilege to share his knowledge with others and help grow their relationships with Nature.
