Hardcover, 176 pp. Oversize, measuring 10.5 x 14.5 inches and 1.5 inches thick. Ex-library with at least one identity mark. In fair condition only, with various marks, wear, and aging to cover. Inner hinge is slightly loose, and a few pages have separated but are all present. Page edges are tanning lightly. An illustrated tour of 28 homes of famous Americans: George Washington, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry Clay, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Robert E. Lee, Daniel Webster, Henry David Thoreau, William Cullen Bryant, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Andrew Jackson, James Russell Lowell, Horace Greeley, Oliver Wendell Holmes, James Madison, Washington Irving, Thomas Jefferson, John Bartram, and John Greenleaf Whittier. The Thoreau chapter contains 12 b&w photographs. Historic, for sure.
