di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art

Located in scenic Napa Valley, di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art engages its community in the connective power of art and nature through its permanent collection of Northern California art, contemporary exhibitions, and thought-provoking educational programs that inspire creativity and curiosity.

Protected in perpetuity under the Napa County Land Trust, the site features multiple galleries, a sculpture park, and a 35-acre lake, all located on 217 scenic acres in Napa Valley’s famed Carneros region. di Rosa originated as the vision of Rene di Rosa (1919-2010), a prolific collector whose famed vineyards enabled his development of a world-class art collection. Together with his wife Veronica di Rosa (1934–1991), he used the sale of his vineyards to build an “art park” for the greater public. The organization was incorporated as a nonprofit public trust in 2000.

Today di Rosa presents contemporary exhibitions by Bay Area-based artists and an array of educational programs for all ages, in addition to maintaining a permanent collection of notable works by artists with ties to the Bay Area from the mid-twentieth century to the early 2000s.

Come explore exhibitions, and discover di Rosa’s myriad outdoor sculptures across over 200 stunning acres. Bring a picnic and relax in the shady Olive Grove, go birding, or find a nook to read a favorite book. You can walk the approximate two-mile loop or take di Rosa’s friendly shuttle to travel around. 

Your admission provides self-guided access to the galleries, Courtyard, and Sculpture Meadow. Public tours are included in admission and are available Friday through Sunday. Reservations are recommended for tours, as they do fill up. Parking at di Rosa is always free. Access to some outdoor areas may be limited or restricted due to weather conditions. Please review our health & safety guidelines before your visit.

Winning bidders located in Northern California may pick up their items in Napa at a location and date to be arranged -- details will be emailed to winning bidders. Items not picked up by March 4, 2022, will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Note that we will automatically mail gift cards and gift certificates for free -- no need to pick those up.)

Items purchased by bidders residing outside of Northern California will be shipped on or around Tuesday, February 8, 2022, unless you tell us that you wish to pick up your item. Purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Gift cards and gift certificates ship for free.) Please contact us at sbspcauction@gmail.com by February 7, 2022, if you plan to pick up your auction winnings.
