Provides biographies of 30 individuals who contributed to the publication of The Dial in the 1840s. Warning: the "main" Transcendentalists (Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Margaret Fuller) are not included in this volume. In good condition with slight foxing on top of book block.
