Item Description

Farmstrong Field Rose, Realm Cellars 2020 Coombsville, Napa Valley La Fe Rose + Karl Lawrence 2020 Allison Avenue Rose - 4 Bottles + 2-250ml Cans

Farmstrong Field Rose - 2 Bottles: Loaded with vibrant lively fruits, it is summer in a glass: ripe strawberries, honey tangerine, camellia blossom. This wine is inviting, happy, easy-going and relaxing… like a walk in the park on a sunny day.

The Farmstrong Field Rose is the result of an intentional rose program, picked expressly for rose and 100% whole cluster pressed. This blend is from two vineyard sites in northern Mendocino’s Redwood Valley: Carignane from the 80-year-old vines in Hawkeye Ranch (50%), Zinfandel (50%) from 48-year-old vines in KenMar Vineyard. Hawkeye Ranch is owned and farmed by the Johnsons, who are 5th generation growers and true stewards of the land. KenMar is owned and Farmed by Ken and Margo Schrock.

The fruit from both the Carignane and Zinfandel is balanced and beaming with bright flavors at lower sugars, allowing me to harvest at lower sugars and retain the lovely natural acidity, vibrant red fruits, and floral notes. By gently pressing whole clusters, extraction is very delicate, allowing her soft pretty nature to shine through.

Realm Cellars 2020 Coombsville, Napa Valley La Fe Rose, 2 Bottles: Very pale salmon pink, the nose is all bright, cheery Bing cherries, redcurrants, raspberry leaves, fennel seed, white pepper, and bouquet garni. Medium-bodied, the dry, refreshing palate tingles with vibrant, pristine red berry fruit, leading to a nice long pepper and spice finish.

Karl Lawrence 2020 Allison Avenue Rose, 2-pk of 250ml Cans: Allison Avenue brings you a full-bodied Napa Valley rose in a can. Made from Zinfandel grapes sourced from the Calistoga Appellation's Pocai Vineyard, Allison Avenue favors citrus and pomegranate notes over berry while adding a hint of tartness. Winemaker Bruce Devlin says that this rose "takes you back to the roots of Napa Valley rose: light, bright, and refreshing... what more can you ask for?"

Farmstrong Wines are dynamic blends that tilt their hat to California’s diversity and history. They are expressions the vineyard sites are very special to me. I am a true believer in personal connection and there is a story behind each vineyard site and how it came to be part of my portfolio. In these stories you will learn more about the people behind these vineyards. I liken my connection to these vineyards to that of one’s favorite shirt or coffee mug or chair. Like a well-worn fabric or a slightly chipped mug that may have initially caught my eye for its beauty, but over the years it has won my heart because it just feels right. When it comes to vineyards this happens too, and it is a combination of my connection with the vines themselves and my connection with those that tend them. For me, the growers' hands are most definitely part of the terroir.

Realm Cellars is a journey. Just eight years ago, the winery was nearly bankrupt when owner Scott Becker and winemaker Benoit Touquette teamed up to revive it. Fueled by a clear vision, an entrepreneurial spirit, and relentless determination, they transformed Realm into one of the most electrifying domaines in Napa Valley today. Now with its own hillside Estate in the Stags Leap District, 50 acres of vines, and access to a number of the finest vineyards in the appellation, Realm makes some of the most sought-after wines in Napa Valley.

Making wine at the very highest level is at the core of Realm Cellars. Since 2012, the wines have been awarded more 100-point scores from internationally recognized wine critics than any other producer in Napa Valley. The Realm portfolio includes both Single Vineyard wines and Proprietary Blends – collectively, the wines are equal parts an expression of the land and an articulation of the winemaking craft. The house style of Realm can best be described as a creative tension between richness and precision, density and finesse, purity of fruit and nuance.

The next chapter of Realm Cellars promises to be just as bold. The vision for what Realm can be encompasses more than creating fine wines. This passionate team is ready to push ahead in its relentless quest to secure an enduring place among the icons of the wine world. The best is yet to come...

Karl Lawrence: Smaller batches mean greater quality control. When you purchase a bottle of Karl Lawrence, you're not paying for a heavy bottle, extravagant facility, or a marketing staff. You're paying for a bottle or can of great wine!

We've operated as a word of mouth winery for twenty-five years because of our loyal customers. And we are loyal in return. We can keep the price down as long as they continue to spread the good word.

Since 2013, we have been sourcing grapes from the Pocai Vineyard in the Calistoga Appellation, and the Fig Tree Vineyard at the base of Howell Mountain, in the St. Helena Appellation.
