Item Description

Caymus Vineyards 2019 Napa Valley Zinfandel - Magnum 1.5L, 1 Bottle

Although Caymus is best known for Cabernet Sauvignon, we also produce a small amount of Zinfandel, which was a favorite of late Caymus co-founder Charlie Wagner Sr. It is a varietal that can produce amazing wines here in Napa Valley and our full-bodied version is perfect for rich foods and hearty cheeses, but also enjoyed with pizza and BBQ.

Caymus 2019 Zinfandel is big, bold and rich with dark plum jam, blueberry, underbrush, spicy, smoky herbs and vanilla flavours lush, long and vibrant on the palate. Pour with a meat-lover's pizza topped with more meat.

Name of Winery: Caymus Vineyards

Bottle Size: Magnum (1.5L)

Number of Bottles: One

Varietal: Zinfandel

Appellation: Napa Valley

Caymus Vineyards is a 100% family-owned by the Wagners. Charlie, Lorna Belle, and Chuck worked together as a remarkable team for over 30 years building Caymus Cabernet. Today, Chuck, his two sons, Charlie and Joe, and one daughter, Jenny, have joined the family team. Farming grapes remain the priority with the family farming about 350 acres of choice Napa Valley land.

The Wagners took the name Caymus from the Mexican land grant known as Rancho Caymus, given to George Yount in 1836, which encompassed what eventually became the town of Rutherford and much of the surrounding area.
