Sterling Vineyards 1995 SVR Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, 1 Bottle:
Deliciously complex, this Cabernet blend delivers a pretty array of ripe currant, black cherry, sage, cedar and spice notes, revealing its depth and gaining nuance on a long, intricate aftertaste that keeps pumping out flavor.
Indicative blend: Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah.
94 Points - Wine Spectator
Sterling Vineyards 1997 Diamond Mountain Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon, 1 Bottle:
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"The big, very dark and inviting nose of ripe cherry, licorice, cocoa and toast sets things up. The dense palate is packed with cherry, tar, even bacon notes, and it has a plush, velvety feel that belies the wine’s structure. The impressive finish is dark and toasty, with well-dispersed tannins."
John Anthony 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, 1 Bottle: Good, rich Napa Cabernet in this bottle, packed with blackberry, currant, licorice and cedar flavors. The wine shows a firm, full-bodied texture.
Truchard 2006 Carneros Cabernet Sauvignon, 1 Bottle: Truchard Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. Proprietors Tony and Jo Ann Truchard have managed a successful vineyard and grown exceptional grapes for nearly 40 years. Through their hard work and devotion to this unique property, they helped pioneer grape growing in the Carneros region of Napa. In 1989, the Truchards established a winery and began producing wines using only their estate-grown fruit.
