Midland, MI based artpreneur, Dacia Livingston Parker received her first oil paint set at age seven which sparked a myriad of artistic ventures. She has loved expressing her creativity through various media ever since. After graduating from The University of Michigan School of Art and Design with a BFA, Dacia and her husband moved to the Seattle area for 13 years. Deeply inspired by the ocean, mountains, and natural beauty in that part of the country, her work evolved to include those elements. It was in Seattle that Dacia built her professional portrait photography business while honing her craft in art galleries and engaging with the possibilities offered by digital media. In recent years, Dacia has explored the juxtaposition of repurposing materials to create handcrafted home decor, adding
layers of significance and beauty through new uses and forms. During the pandemic, Dacia ventured back into painting and working with clay where her love of the elements - water, mountains and nature continues to inform her work.

Since coming home to Michigan in 2006, Dacia’s been involved in the local arts community, doing photography and developing educational programming for Captured Studios in Ashman Plaza. She launched Parker Lane Art & Design Studios in 2018 http://parkerlane.art to offer a space for creative instruction and
development. She’s also active in Public Arts Midland, serves on project-based committees, and mentors young artists.

Winning bidder is responsible for pick-up. Pick-up hours include 2pm-5pm Sunday February 6th at Incub8labs at Live Oak Coffee House, Ashman Plaza OR call ahead 989 835 9922 Monday through Friday 9am-4pm at Safe&Sound office in Midland, MI. If winning bidder is outside the mid-Michigan area, buyer is responsible for shipping costs and will be billed separately before sending.
