For years I have been fascinated by the structures and colours of the incredible St Basil's Cathedral in Moscow and have wanted to visit and see it in person. With current restrictions I decided to live out my travel dreams through my art and created this piece.
About the Artist
Wendy is an Oakville based watercolour artist who only recently discovered her talent. She has always enjoyed creative pastimes and took up watercolour painting at the start of 2021 to help combat anxiety during the second lockdown in Ontario. In June 2021, Wendy joined the @100daysprojectscotland 2021 creative challenge on Instagram, painting a watercolour every day for the 100 days. The support and encouragement she received gave her the confidence to take part in the Art in my Garden community art show in Oakville in September 2021. The event gave Wendy the opportunity to share her journey with the community with the aim of encouraging others to take up a creative pastime to achieve relaxation, joy and peace. She has sold several original paintings, prints and greeting cards and specializes in house and building portraits.
