Item Description
Our play-based summer camp involves outdoor activities in our own Sun and Moon Park, nature fables and storytelling, free play, nature-based crafts, and other experiences inspired by a Waldorf curriculum. Whether you want to try out Waldorf education, or simply give your child a place to play and learn outdoors, join us this summer! With this certificate, your child can particiate in one week of Waldorf School's grade school summer camp, either half-day or full-day sessions.
In our Cooking and Baking section, children will learn basic culinary skills and make a variety of vegetarian foods, including banana breads, bruschetta, and homemade granola bars. During our Craft Making sections, students will learn to knit and produce their own personal handwork creations. Our Circus Arts section will offer a number of different introductory techniques, including the gym wheel, aerial silks, static trapeze, trampoline, partner acrobatics, ratchet wire, juggling, and more. During Sport Games, children will be introduced to the basics of teamwork and collaboration through a number of sport-based games, building fundamental physical skills.

Outdoor play will happen each day and, each Friday, campers will play in the woods.

Restrictions: Must be used during the 2022 summer camp season. Camp is for children in grades 1-5. Valid for any session that has not reached capacity. Winner must contact Chicago Waldorf School to enroll.
Covid protocols, including masking, will be determined in June. Children who are signed up for a half day must bring a snack. Children who are signed up for a full day must bring a snack and a lunch. Camp will be outside, weather permitting.
