Item Description
These beautiful butterfly paintings were inspired by the emergence of one of our swallowtail butterflies that had been hibernating all Winter! The children were so excited to watch the butterfly open its wings and flutter around its habitat! The following day we used large pieces of posterboard and worked together to add spoonfuls of paint to one side of the paper.
The process was incredibly fun as we folded the very large paper over and used our hands to spread the paint around inside the paper. The children were in awe when they opened up the paper together! We saw the most beautiful colors mixed up and blended together to make a symmetrical painting and the children shouted out loud in excitement. “More, more, more! Can we make another one?”
Collaboratively, we made so many of these paintings together and felt such pride in our accomplishments! We hope you love these paintings as much as we loved the process of making them!
Materials and size: Approximately 22 ¼ “ x 28 ¼.” Poster board paper and acrylic paints, framed, matted, and ready to be hung in your home!
