"Vespers of 1640" Recording
In 2012, TENET's Green Mountain Project offered a newly recreated Vespers by the project's music director Scott Metcalfe. Entitled "A Grand Festive Vespers in Venice, c. 1640," the new Vespers was recorded live and released as an outgrowth of their popular performances of Claudio Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610. Includes music by Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643), Giovanni Gabrieli (c. 1555-1612), and Chiara Margarita Cozzolani (1602-c. 1676)
"Vespers of 1610" Double CD
Live Recording of the final performance of the Green Mountain Project
RELEASED SEPTEMBER 1, 2020
For the past ten years, the Green Mountain Project has been made up of some of the best Baroque specialists in the United States for concerts of Claudio Monteverdi's iconic Vespers of 1610 (Vespro della Beata Vergine). This live recording is a culmination of years of musical collaborations, and a celebration of the artists and supporters who made the past decade of performances possible.
