Item Description
Movie Studio Cards were very popular during the 1920s to the 1960s. When you would write to a studio or celebrity, it was very common to be sent a 5x7 of the celebrity with a facsimile signature.
DESCRIPTION: In this lot are 3 original vintage movie photo cards:
Raymond Hatton went to Hollywood with a vaudeville group around 1909-1911 as there are conflicting reports. His first confirmed film was with Mack Sennett at Biograph. Hatton established a very successful filming career through the silent era and easily transitioning to sound and then to television. Hatton is credited with over 420 films from 1910 until 1967.
Walter Byron was born in England and began in British films in 1926 and came to the U.S. in 1928 with a contract with Samuel Goldwyn. While getting to the status of leading man in lesser films, Byron was primarily used in support roles. Byron appeared in 66 films from 1926 to 1942.
Rudy Vallee formed a band in 1928 after graduating from Yale University and was given a radio contract becoming one of the first crooners. Vallee became a celebrity through his radio and records through the 1930s. Vallee made his first feature film in 1929 and escalated during the transition to sound and musicals. Valle is credits with 59 films from 1929 to 1984.
CONDITION: All 3 are in Very Good to Very Good+ with some slight edge wear and storage curves due to age.
