George Washington's Mount Vernon is the historic home of America's first president, George Washington, just a short drive from Washington, DC and Alexandria, VA. Once a vibrant plantation in the 18th century, George Washington's Mount Vernon estate is now one of the nation's most visited historic sites.
The Old Ebbitt Grill is Washington's oldest saloon, founded in 1856 as a boarding house that housed famous Americans including Presidents McKinley, Grant, Johnson, Cleveland, Theodore Roosevelt, and Harding. In 1983, the Grill moved to a Beaux-Arts building that was once the old B.F. Keith's Theater on 15th Street. The Grill has amassed a priceless collection of antiques and memorabilia including beer steins, animals heads (reported bagged by Theodore Roosevelt) and wooden bears (asid to have been imported by Alexander Hamilton for his private bar). Today the Victorian interior evokes Washington saloons at the turn of the century. Known for their oysters and raw bar, the Old Ebbitt Grill also offers brunch on weekends, and a full menu from burgers to soft shell crab, filet minon to roasted chicken.

Tickets to the interior mansion tour at George Washington's Mount Vernon are not included, but may be available on the day of your visit at the ticket window on a first-come, first-serve dbasis while supplies last. Grounds passes exire December 31, 2022.
Gift card to the Old Ebbitt Grill must be used in one visit. Gratuity is not included. Expires June 2023.
