Escape the bustle of the city and rediscover the romance of the sea at The Fulton, a new restaurant from world-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten located at Pier 17.
The Fulton is the chef’s first seafood restaurant – located in an area of the city Vongerichten fell in love with when he first encountered the energy of the former Fulton Fish Market in 1986. With a hat tip to that history of the Seaport District, the menu focuses on the best ingredients and the bounty of the ocean and beyond.
At The Fulton, the Seaport District’s distinct nautical history has been woven into the textures of the space, which Vongerichten and interior designers Yabu Pushelberg have crafted as a place to reconnect New Yorkers and her visitors with the city’s maritime past.
Hand-painted murals by artists Diego Castaño and Chandler Noah envelop the walls of the restaurant’s main dining floor. Entitled South of Cape Horn and inspired by Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, the piece tells the story of explorers, who in search of an allegedly seen sea monster, embark on a serendipitous journey.
With its waterfront setting, the restaurant offers a singular New York dining experience, with patio seating and some of the best unobstructed views of the Brooklyn Bridge.
