Satish's monotype prints utilize a technique of his own devising. Each one of his individually designed Plates can produce an unlimited series of one-of-a-kind prints, each print using the imagery of a specific plate but overlaid with its own colors and mood. Multiple prints pulled from one plate create a series related to each other through the link of that specific Plate image. Each print is an individual work of art; no two prints are ever the same. The prints are catalogued with the permanent Plate number and a specific Print number, i.e., "Plate 59, Print 9". As with his paintings, Satish's monotype prints discourse on the mystery and source of light and its effects on nature. Several Prints from one Plate framed individually and hung together create an effective display."

Artist bio
Born and raised in Lyon, France, I have lived in the United States for the past 24 years, first in the Midwest (Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cincinnati), and now in the NYC area, with a stop somewhere in between in Budapest, Hungary. By day, I specialize in analyzing customer data for some of the world’s biggest brands (Kroger, Home Depot, Macy’s, Ralph Lauren, rag & bone).
I started my love affair with photography the first time I traveled to New York City at age 18. I’ve honed my skills ever since, and for the past 8 years, I have done commercial photography, ranging from events (baptisms, small weddings), to corporate (mugshots, company events), and real estate. Five years ago, I added drone photography to my portfolio and I have captured some amazing drone footage in the United States and many other countries, including France, England, Israel, India, Colombia, and Costa Rica. My clients include startups and luxury hotels and my photography has been featured three times in the New Yorker. I currently have an exhibit of my aerial pictures called “Westchester: View from Above” at Grand Central Terminal, as part of the MTA Art & Design’s photography program.
I'm always looking for new challenges to hone my craft, and I strive to bring out the best of my subjects. I’d love to have a chat with you! Please contact me at jerome.strauss@gmail.com
