Artist Statement:
This work is based on several photographs taken around the turn of the nineteenth century in Marblehead. I'm really interested in the history of this beautiful town and have learned a lot in my twenty or so years living here. But I'm also interested in memory and how people's recollections of things and their perceptions can shift over time. For that reason I have altered buildings, played with space, and made other changes that may make this seem both familiar and yet different.
Artist Biography:
Siobhan McDonald is an artist with a studio in downtown Marblehead, where she gives both private and group art lessons to adults. Her company, Granger St. Studios, provides Visual arts workshops to healthcare workers, senior centers, and individuals, with the goal of increasing communication with those living with dementia.

Item Special Note
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 9-14 at MacRea's Goods, 108 Washington St, Marblehead during normal store hours. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.
If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
