Artist Statement:

My inspiration for this year's cod came from a curious interest in how different, smaller shapes can fit together to form a larger and completely different organic form such as a codfish. My thanks and appreciation to Faye Haley for her superb mastery of puzzles and to Tom Samuelson for his careful coping saw skills.

Artist Biography:

I am a resident of Marblehead and received a B.A. in Studio Art from Kenyon College. An independent artist, I am primarily a jewelry designer but also work in other media, such as painting and knitting and photography. I love the use of color, whether it is through paint, gemstones, shells or fibers, and I am inspired by organic shapes and shells found in nature.

Item Special Note

Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 9-14 at MacRea's Goods, 108 Washington St, Marblehead during normal store hours. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.

If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.

Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.

If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
