Item Description
One of the last truly private, family-owned, iconic wineries of Sonoma County consistently producing 90+ point wines, Dry Creek's philosophy is, "Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for us, it's our way of life and has been for many decades. Our viticultural philosophy is to maximize biodiversity, vineyard longevity and superb wine quality. Every decision we make is with these guiding principles in mind."
The winning bidder receives a case of the 2020 Fume Blanc. Modeled after the classic wines from the Loire Valley in France, the stainless steel fermented Fume Blanc is crisp, balanced and immediately drinkable. This 49th vintage of Fume Blanc is a wine with the classic Dry Creek Vineyard house style of Sauvignon Blanc. Aromatics of lime, lemon, apricot and mango leap forward from the glass with nuances of cucumber, lemongrass and white pepper. On the palate, the wine is intense and bright with grapefruit, passionfruit and white peach. Underlying minerality and hints of jasmine, fresh cut grass and jalapeƱo contribute to this wine's refreshing, crisp finish.
This crisp wine pairs especially well with fresh shellfish, sushi and salads.
92 points, Wine Spectator and Tasting Panel. 90 points, Wine Enthusiast.
