Item Description
Mendocino Spirits is the creation of Crispin Cain, who brings 30 years of distillation and cellaring experience to each glass.
Low Gap Straight Bourbon Whiskey is distilled from local grain in the Mendocino Grain Project and aged 3 years before bottling.
Low Gap Rye Malt Whiskey is aged 5 years and more –this one is blended distillations from 2013, 2014 and 2016. Aged in new and used oak barrels-- 65% new American white oak barrels, charred. Used bourbon barrels, used port barrels, and used Cognac barrels.
The nose is toast, malt, dried fruits, chocolate, oak, butter, vanilla, maple, butterscotch. The palate is malted grains, oak, toast, spice, dark chocolate, rancio. The finish lingers long with dark chocolate, oak and caramel.
Crispin pays keen attention to organic ingredients and grains, fermentation, the Charentais Pot Still imported from Cognac, France, the double distillation method, bringing the distillate to barreling strength with filtered rainwater, and choosing fine barrels to match fine spirits.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ITEM CANNOT BE SHIPPED. These are the summer months, and spirits will spoil if shipped in hot weather.
