Item Description
The natural edge bowl was made by Kauai woodturner Robin Clark and measures 16x4 inches. Cook Pine (Araucaria columnaris) is endemic to New Caledonia and is widely distributed in Hawaii. It is closely related to Norfolk Island Pine. The dark coloration results from spalting, a fungal process, and the knots represent the branch points of the tree. The bowl has a food safe hard wax finish.
