Win a week stay in a House in a small village in Tuscany: Castiglione d'Orcia, Italy.

Casa Castigliana was the community olive oil mill, or “frantoio,” many years ago and it still retains its vintage charm. Laid out over three levels, the townhouse is perfectly suited for one or two couples to enjoy the many pleasures of a Tuscan hill town. The house is arranged with the front entrance on the piazza, just inside the ancient “Porta di Sopra,” which is part of the original wall of the village.

You will enter into a large dining room and kitchen with soaring beamed ceilings and a cozy fireplace. The entire house was remodeled in 2016 and sports a brand new kitchen, which has state of the art appliances, but still evokes a classic Tuscan feel.  A few steps up is the first of two full bathrooms, both with walk-in showers, then a few more steps will bring you to the main level with a large living room with fireplace, a bedroom and another full bathroom. Up a few more steps is an additional large bedroom with stunning views over the garden and up to the ancient fortress.

Out the back door you’ll find the charming walled garden full of olive trees, grape vines and a dining terrace where you’ll spend many hours savoring the foods and wines of the region.

Amenities in the village of Castiglione d’Orcia:

Seven walkable restaurants, cafés and wine bars (one with a Michelin star!), small grocery store, supermarket, pharmacy, two banks with ATMs, news agent, toy shop, bakery, florist, women’s clothing shop, two churches, post office, laundromat, antiques shop, historical sites.

Auction winner will contact owner directly to book desired week, subject to availability. Bookings run Saturday to Saturday, April 15 to October 31st. If desired, additional week can be purchased. 

House is in a small village with hills. House has several stairs.  House accommodates maximum 4 people including two queen beds, two baths, no smoking & no pets. Not suitable for small children and those with limited mobility.

There is no nearby public transportation, winner must rent a car. 

Must be used within one year of auction date. Expires October 3, 2023.
