Item Description
Late 19th century 1 gallon wood fired, alkaline glaze, single handle jug made in the Catawba Valley tradition. Jug is a nice ovoid form, is not signed and has a hairline crack that runs from the base across to the shoulder. However, the jug is stable.
Item Special Note
Jug is incised with three lines at the neck, has wear to the glaze on the lip typical with its age, and stands 9 inches tall, 6 inches wide. See photos of hairline crack.
