Item Description
Jack "Mr. B" Beverland (b.1939) Folk art painting "Life in the Grove". Florida scene with cowboys, orange grove pickers, fisherman, and more. Signed lower right and also on verso. Measures 16 inches tall x 31 inches wide on unframed board. Excellent condition.
Item Special Note
Mr. B (Jack Beverland), is a self-taught southern folk artist who has painted professionally for 26 years. He finds peace of mind in his style of artwork. He starts with a title; the title makes a picture in his mind. Then Mr. B draws what he sees on his board and paints it. He lives within each painting because he paints himself in them. Mr. B uses dimensional acrylic and glow-in-the-dark paint.
