Lisa Granata holds a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a year's study in Florence, Italy at Studio Arts College International. Lisa is an adjunct professor at Dean College, Lasell University and she instructs a variety of studio art classes at the AAM. Her art exhibition record includes galleries and museums on the east coast, mid-west and in Italy.

"Protect Wildlife" was created using layers of collage. The artist used a portion of a map, layers of acrylic paint, printed text and a printed linocut of a whale. The subject matter was clearly chosen to promote the preservation of the seas and the protection of the whales. Whales are important to the environment and an integral part of marine ecosystems.
