Susan Clarke is a self taught artist. She has studied with Katherine Lovell, Paula DeSimone and Lisa Granata. She began as a fiber artist and now incorporates stitch and fiber into her newest work. She discovered monotype printing while studying with Paula DeSimone and has never looked back. Ms. Clarke has exhibited her work at the AAM, the Monotype Guild of NE and the RI Watercolor Society.

"Family Tree" is part of a series of monotypes using natural material from and around the artist's family home. Ms. Clarke is interested in the transparent layering of ink to create interesting design and texture.
