Jackie Cabral is a full time professional in a high-tech environment which involves meetings, schedules, and deadlines. Painting mandalas is her creative outlet. Jackie discovered the art form several years ago and was immediately taken with it. Jackie's mandala designs begin with a single dot and evolve into a circle made up entirely of dots. She uses a variety of objects to create her designs, such as crochet hooks, dowels, and stylist tools. In her art, she tries to capture a sense of serenity and balance. Each of Jackie's designs is a unique pattern, rich with depth and expression.
"Shades of Blue Mandala" was recently featured in the AAM's And All That Jazz! The Viktor Schreckengost Mangbetu Award Art Educator Group Exhibition in the Community Gallery: June 2nd -- 29th, 2022. Twelve AAM art educators participated in this group exhibition, and their artworks featured an exceptional twist on Viktor Schreckengost's acclaimed Jazz Bowl. Viewers experienced visual representations of the rich sounds, rhythms & colors of jazz music, graphic interpretations of instruments, personal storytelling and other expressions of the bustling nightlife, improv and energy of the roaring 1920's. "Shades of Blue Mandala" is a beautiful example of the artist's mandala style mixed with embellishments of the Art Deco period.
