Dan Gyves is an award-winning photographer from Mansfield, MA. His passion is to capture the beauty of the American landscape, from New England to the western national parks and monuments. He served as president of the Stony Brook Camera Club for the 2013 season. Dan has won three image of the year awards at Stony Brook Camera Club, and has received an honorable mention from Morini Gallery in Mansfield, MA. He exhibits his photography in the Boston area.
The artist captured this image while on a trip to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The extreme depth of field maintains sharp focus deep into the forest. Coloration in the photo is simplified, with the stark white of the trees offset by the pale greens of the forest undergrowth.
