Item Description
Cold worked glass
0.75" x 0.80" x 0.60"
Diane Chester-Demicco of Brookline, MA, creates pendants that incorporate details of her larger cold worked glass sculpture. Also working in bronze, cast glass and found beach stones, she has exhibited her sculpture nationally including the AAM where she twice received a juror's award in the organizations annual national juried shows.
"Blue Box Pendant" is cold worked glass, a process that requires no heat. Three pieces of tinted glass have been laminated with an epoxy that is as hard as glass. The pendant's hole was drilled with a diamond drill, sculpted with abrasive wet tools and brought to a high gloss with a polishing wheel.
