S.A. (Stephen Allen) Boyle (1950 - 2020) was a resident of Attleboro, MA, and an active, practicing artist. He enjoyed rendering Attleboro's factories, storefronts, bridges and abandoned buildings with precise line work. Boyle is remembered by many Attleboro artists for his talent, wit, and good nature. Classic Attleboro memorabilia!
This print (20/75) hung in Attleboro's Commuter Line Station in "Tony's Whistle Stop Café." It portrays one of Attleboro's railroad bridges, with the all-important vertical clearance signage of 11'-0'. Attleboro residents know, all too well, that this warning is occasionally missed by an unsuspecting truck driver.
