Stephen Fisher earned a BFA in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University (1976) and an MFA in printmaking from Yale University (1981). He currently teaches at RIC as a Professor of Art where he specializes in printmaking and drawing. Fisher's work has been exhibited in a variety of national and, occasionally, international venues and earned numerous awards in a wide range of competitions.
This still life intaglio type is generated from a hand drawn image on grained glass. The image is transferred to a copper plate using a light sensitive polymer film and hand printed using a traditional intaglio printing process. This is impression #3 of an edition of 18.
