Item Description

What a treat! This tea service is unique and delightful. It includes a collectible tray created by Cynthia Carey (Tray Chic), painted in gold and greens and the pattern on the interior of the tray is a garden theme with images of green houses, potted plants, a butterfly, watering cans and more. Very festive and fun. The approximate exterior dimensions of the tray are 18.25" X 13.75"

The tea pot is metal (weighty and sturdy) in beige, brown and black tones. The inside is shinny ceramic and has an ample tea basket. The pot appears to hold about 12 oz of water, just enough to fill the two accompanying tea cups, which appear to hold about 6 oz. each. The tea cups are so charming but unfortunately there is no makers mark on the cup or saucer. Each cup is approximately 2.25" tall X 3.25" across the top.

The saucers are both in the shape of a leaf and have the stem and ribs of the leaf lightly created using paint. (Approximate dimensions 6" X 5") The saucers and cups (set of two) are both delicate and have a sweet scalloped edge. The cups are of the same color of the saucers; mottled cream and light rust and a very light green that helps to highlight the stem and ribs. The handles of the cups are as delicate as the cups themselves. Who wouldn't want to honor their guests with this presentation?

The tea set is used but the teapot, cups, and saucers are in excellent condition. The tray is in very good condition with only slight, barely noticeable imperfections in the surface.
