Item Description
This work is an original photograph of the north shore of Kauai by the artist Lee Scott. The image has been printed on metal plate and measures 42"x30". The dynamic work shows powerful winter waves pounding the shore along Secret beach with the iconic Kilauea lighthouse perched on the cliff above. The viewer can almost feel the pounding of the winter waves and you might almost expect a exuberent surfer to appear exiting the tube.
I am a self taught photographer based on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Kauai. In my photography I try to communicate the dynamic flow and meditative beauty of the universe. I seek to find the energy or light source that is in nature, and in us all.
I sign all of my work with the Japanese character Hikari at the end of my name. Hikari is a beautiful word. It translates into English as light, and points to the spiritual basis of my work. For I believe that nature is the foundation of all of our spiritual teachings.
While on Kauai, I encourage you to visit my gallery. I am located in the charming, artist town of Hanapepe at 3890 Hanapepe Road. In my gallery you will find both limited edition metal and acrylic prints as well as museum quality mat prints on the finest photographic papers.
