Item Description
This floral print of three anthuriums was created by Shannon Hiramoto of Koloa. The linocut artwork is an original, measures 14" x 11" and is printed on paper. The fanciful anthuriums are beautifully rendered and are artfully set off by the suggestive wave-patterned background. The colors will evoke a warm, happy response from all viewers.
Shannon Hiramoto is a wide-ranging artist, working in a variety of media, including print making, pottery creation and especially garmet design and production. She was born and raised on Kauai and continues to live there with her husband and daughter. In 2016, she opened a studio in Warehouse 3540 in Lawai where she and her father created a range of items using two letterpresses and one etching press. Unfortunately, COVID led to the closure of her business and she has since directed her energies to creating art, including the prints in the auction item.
