Item Description
Ever want to take batting practice with a college pitcher throwing to you and former MLB batting coach giving you tips ... want to invite 9 more friends.
Or do you have a baseball team that you want to get the best possible instruction from a world class coach ... this is for you.
The winning bidder and 9 of their friends gets to take 90 minutes of batting practice with the staff of the Waynesboro Generals throwing pitches and MLB great - Denny Walling providing batting instruction.
As if that wasn't enought - your group of 10 also gets VIP access to a Generals game of their choosing later that night including a meet and greet with the team and signed baseballs.
(I'm pretty sure Denny would sign too ...).
Denny Walling (born April 17, 1954) played all or parts of 18 seasons in the majors, from 1975 to 1992. His most frequent position was third base, but he also saw significant time as an outfielder and first baseman.
Walling may be best known as a pinch-hitting specialist for the Houston Astros. Nicknamed "Good Wood", Walling was a valuable bat off the bench for most of his career. Entering the 2009 season, his 108 career pinch hits are tied for 13th all-time. He hit .271 with 799 hits in 2,945 lifetime at bats with 49 home runs and 380 RBI in 1,271 games.
After his playing career was over - he ended being the bench coach for both the Oakland A's and New York Mets and closed out his career as the batting coach for the Baltimore Orioles farm system ... he knows hitting. He knows how to teach hitting.
Item Special Note
Winning bidder will coordinate with Jeff Fife to schedule batting practice and game day experience. Activity would occur in June or July of 2023.
