Item Description
"Lady in Blue" by Irene Borg
About the Artist:
Born in California in 1950, artist Irene Borg studied under Joseph Mendez and Sergei Bongardt, two well-known figurative artists of the time. Irene Borg's paintings are centered on mother and daughter relationships that exist in real life as well as the innocence of children. Drawing from her own experience as a mother, she found inspiration in her daughters' play and growth.
Many early Irene Borg's paintings exhibit a soft demeanor, depicting children outside playing or running. Irene Borg's prints remain popular among collectors for their ability to portray the magic and whimsy of youth in intricate detail.
