Intro to Maryland's Monocacy River - Full day Waded Fishing Trip for up to Two People. The donor is offering a Day on one of Maryland's Scenic Rivers; The Monocacy River.

Steeped in history and natural beauty, the Monocacy River is home to many species of fish including Large mouth and small mouth bass, Crappie, a variety of Sunfish and Bluegill species, Carp, Catfish, Creek chubs and the occasional rouge trout.

Beyond the banks one can find First People's artifacts, Civil War ruins, as well as todays working farmsteads. The river and it's corridor also offer miles of hiking trails and many opportunities for easy access to wading and floating the river.

This auction item is for 1 or 2 people and offers a day wading the river in search of warm water game fish species.
The river is well suited for the beginner as well as the more experienced fly fisher.
Auction winners should have had at least an introduction to fly fishing and have their own gear.
Some instruction is available as needed.
Wading is relatively easy and can be done in full chest waders or if the temperatures allow, wet wading.
We will fish from one or more of the many access points in Frederick County, MD.
Date and time, duration and exact meeting location will be negotiated to suite everyone’s needs.
Late June to early September months are best.
Wet wading is better in July and August.
Mid-week is best in order to find peaceful fishing and avoid the weekend crowds of kayakers, picnickers and swimmers who utilize the river.
Winner should provide their own fishing gear, water, lunch, snacks and transportation.
