Item Description
Established in 1991, Bell Wine Cellars is a small, family-owned winery committed to hand-crafting limited edition bottling of extraordinary wines. Bell is located less than a mile south of Yountville on Washington Street, in an exquisite pale stone winery, surrounded by vineyard and cloaked in quiet. If you enjoy Cabernet, you'll enjoy Bell, which makes six different Cabernets as well as Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot and Syrah; total production is less than 15,000 cases annually.
The winning bidder receives a magnum of Bell Wine Cellars 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This Napa Valley Cabernet sauvignon is a blend created from select vineyards and appellations within the renowned Napa Valley. The 2017 vintage is a blend of Cabernet sauvignon (85%), Malbec (10%) and Merlot (5%). The wine was aged in French oak barrels, of which 45% were new, for 19 months. It shows deep magenta core and inky hues around the rim. The wine is vibrant with intense aromas of cassis, sage and cocoa that exude from the glass. The palate is round and persistent, with rich flavors of ripe blue berry pie and exotics spices that intertwine with mineral notes of graphite and warm aromas of cedar to create a well-balanced and memorable bouquet.
The bidder will also receive a special Grape to Glass Tour and Tasting for 2.
A host will guide you through the Yountville vineyard where you'll explore Bell's farming relationship with the terroir and climate of the Napa Valley and the unique environment of the Yountville hills, riverbeds, and fields.
Once you've learned more about the vineyards, you'll have a chance to learn more about how Bell Wine Cellars make their wines during a tank and barrel discussion with your Bell Wine Cellars host.
Finally, but certainly not least, your host will select a seasonal spread selection of five wines for your party's tasting. You'll have the opportunity to put your new knowledge to use identifying the structural components, aromatics, and flavor profiles of each selection.
