Item Description

From the Wittenkellar family, these are three incredible wines to share.

1. 2019 Syrah, Hyde Vineyard, 94 points, James Suckling
Hailing from an older Syrah planting at Hyde Vineyard, this Syrah Noir block is situated on a gentle hillside in the windy Carneros AVA. Picked within the first few days October, the 2019 does a terrific job of showing the typicity of the site which is hallmarked by higher-toned fruit with more savory notes of prosciutto and bacon fat characteristics we love in Syrah.

2. 2019 Pinot Noir, El Diablo Vineyard, 94 points, James Suckling
As exuberant bottling of the Pinot Noir block perches on a north-facing slope on Eastside Road. Picked the 2nd week of September, the Vosne-Romanee Selection and Pommard Clone were harvested on the same day.
The two clones of Pinot Nori were fermented and barrel aged separately, given differnt treatments and cooperage selections to drive the personaltities of each lot independently.

3. 2020 Sauvignon Blance, Estate Vineyards, 90 points, Jeb Dunnuck
A blend of two-thirds clone 1 and one-third Musque Clone, this wine was fermented in several different vessel types, including a small dynamic inclusion of new oak, stainless steel and neutral barrels. The smaller vessel types help promote lees contact and the wine was aged sur-lee for five months.
Aromas of grapefruit, almond paste and key lime greet the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh and engaging, with enticing spice and flint, harking to a more traditional style of Sauvignon Blanc.
