Item Description
Here are two ways you can do your part for the environment.
First, do not put your trash in plastic kitchen trash bags any more. Instead, use these 100% compostable bags from Superbio (30 bags to a box). They come in the standard tall-kitchen-bag size (13 gallons), 30 bags to a box, and they have hand ties. These bags come from plants and will revert to soil, CO2, and water within 180 days when placed in a standard compost pile. They can then be turned into organic fertilizer for growing plants.
Second, stop using that garbage disposal and instead, put your food scraps in this OXO Easy-Clean Compost Bin. It has a smooth interior and odor-containing soft-close lid for countertop convenience. Use these 1.2 gallon Jaoul Biodegradable Trash Bags (made from corn!) as a liner for the Compost Bin, then when the bag is full, put the food scraps, bag and all, into your compost pile.
