Andrew Langer is a very accomplished man and a great friend and supporter of Constituting America! We are very fortunate that he is donating a custom tour of  Colonial Williamsburg or, in light of the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Williamsburg, a tour of the Civil War history of Williamsburg...plus lunch!

Andrew Langer is President of the Institute for Liberty, a Senior Fellow with Constituting America and is  host of The Andrew Langer Show on WBAL NewsRadio 1090.  

Andrew is treating up to four guests to one of Williamsburgs most famous spots, The historic Cheese Shop or Ben's Chili Bowl in Washington D.C.!

Lunch at The Cheese Shop:

Sitting on our front patio, next to Duke of Gloucester Street in the heart of Merchants Square, is one of the loveliest settings in our town.  We also have seating inside the shop and on our side patio; which is covered and enclosed for dining al fresco year round.  Stop by for a sandwich, soup, cheese & charcuterie plate, glass of wine or draft beer  for lunch or casual dinner! 

The Cheese Shop's hours are Monday- Saturday 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM , and Sunday 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Andrew Langer Biography:

Andrew is the President of the Institute for Liberty AND announcing his newest initiative here: He is the founder of the Institute for Regulatory Analysis and Engagement: ​​a non-partisan, academic public policy organization dedicated to assessing the impacts of proposed rules and other regulatory proceedings on individual economic sectors and the U.S. economy as a whole.

Andrew is such a good friend of all of us here at Constituting America! He has contributed over 40 essays to our 90-Day Studies yearly series, and as our regular listeners know, has also been  a guest with us for many of our Constitutional Chats Podcasts! 

Andrew has been involved in free-market and limited-government causes for more than 25 years, has testified before Congress nearly two dozen times, spoken to audiences across the United States, and has taught at the collegiate level. He has also served as the principal regulatory affairs lobbyist for the National Federation of Independent Business.  He even helped write a book about property rights which are part of the Fifth Amendment and we will be talking about today!

You may have seen him on  on television programs around the world or heard him on the radio! He has hosted a highly-rated weekly program on WBAL NewsRadio 1090 in Baltimore and regularly fills in for both nationally-syndicated and satellite radio programs. He has also created and hosted several different podcasts—most recently:  Andrew and Jerry Save The World, with his colleague, Jerry Rogers. And he has just launched a new podcast: The Lunch Hour!

Andrew has a master’s degree in public administration from Troy University and his degree from William & Mary is in international relations.
