Item Description
This handknotted pure silk on silk museum-quality carpet is handmade by the finest artisans in family-based business using the original techniques of carpet making with organic pure silk. The history and development of the carpet industry in Kashmir is associated with and influenced by the opulent lifestyles of its rulers, nobles, and artistocracy. The silk threads reflect light creating a dazzling sheen with changes of color thru the day with the changing light on the carpet.
This runner features the intricate Tree of Life design using primary colors of rust, peach, aqua, creams, and black. Due to the sheen of the silk, from one end of carpet one sees more of the peach hues, and from the other direction, more of the rust hues.
Gorgeous!
