Item Description
Elena is a Marin County based artist (and Lucas Valley parent) with Slavic roots who truly enjoys nature in all its forms. She loves to picture the beauty of our surrounding flora and fauna. Elena loves to study and explore different ways of presenting art, where her favorite method is with oil paint medium on stretched canvas. Measuring 40" square, this piece makes a stunning statement.
This oil painting is fully hand made:
- Hand stretched premium linen/cotton canvas over hand-assembled wood frame.
- Layering it with self-made rabbit skin glue true gesso ground, then sketching with wine charcoal.
- Finally, painting with oils a contemporary vision of “Blue Water Lilies” made by impressionist Claude Monet in 1916.
- Wire hanger on back.
- "I am proud to say this painting is made according to a few hundred years technology, green and clean. No plastic or plastic based grounds/paints used".
