Item Description
Mum's All Organic salad dressings were launched in 1996 by The Ledgend Corporation, a Groton based company founded and owned by Dan Emerson.
The product is handmade in Concord and sold primarily through two Concord family owned farmstands: Hutchins Farm (seasonal, among the first organic farms in Mass), and Verrill Farm (all year round).
Mum's comes in two versions, Classic and Tangy. The recipe is based on an old personal family one.
Both versions use the exact same all organic (non GMO, non bioengineered) ingredients: canola oil, cider vinegar, fresh garlic (not powder, granulated, etc), sea salt, and fine ground black pepper. The difference is ratios.
- Classic is a 3 to 1 oil and vinegar.
- Tangy is a 2 to 1 oil and vinegar, less salt, pepper, garlic. Towards a vinaigrette.
Both are intended to enhance salad ingredients, not overpower - supercede - dominate natural flavors.
The cover artwork is a watercolor of "Shepherds Cottage", part of old farm operation on Cape Cod.
This set includes one 16 oz bottle of Classic and one 16 oz bottle of Tangy. Delish!
