Vintage Louis Icart Wood Framed. Signed, Single Matted Print "Symphony in White", Portrait of Woman with Borzoi Dogs - 1932
"Symphony in White" features an adorable woman with her 3 borzoi dogs lounging in soft luxurious scene. This gorgeous wood framed print is signed in pencil by artist, Louis Icart. It is an etching and aquatint with touches of handcoloring printed on chine appliqué supported on matte paper. This piece has hints of mauve and a blush blue. It is single matted and finished behind glass in a gold wood frame. This French artist created etchings and lived from 1888-1950. Art Deco women are a huge part of his work.
This print is 22 1/2" high and 18" wide. Visible size is 17 3/4" high and 13" wide. The print is presented behind glass, professionally matted and framed. There is some wear on the frame (see pictures) that we did not repair or have repaired... we felt it needed a professional framer.
"Symphony in White" was donated to AHH by a collector. It has not been evaluated by a professional appraiser.
