Thoreau and the American Indians, by Robert F. Sayre. Princeton University Press, 1977, 239 pp. Salmon colored cloth with maroon dust jacket. This dust jacket changed color to a blue spine, as almost all of these books do. This copy has some handwriting inside, and the book block has some light foxing on it. Pages are clean. This was the first full-length account of Henry Thoreau's lifelong fascination with Indians.
