More about Photographer Julie Gould:
I grew up with dogs and taking photographs around the world with my sister and Naval officer dad. I'm rarely without a dog or camera since my family?s years in Greece where I was in high school. I was photo editor of my college newspaper and majored in Communications with a specialty in photography. With a Masters in Urban Planning, I pursued a 30-year career in housing and community development finance using photography as a visual communications tool. Now I have the terrific opportunity to pursue my twin passions of dogs and photography!

I am drawn to a documentary, journalistic viewpoint. I?ve photographed Beirut in pre-civil war days, the devastation of a Guatemala earthquake, the landscape of destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina, and everyday life in Soweto in Mandela?s South Africa.

My goal is to photograph your dog on location in ways that show the joy and spirit your pet brings you. I can include you and others in the photos ? or not. I?ll customize each session and take the time to get to know your dog. I serve the Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland metropolitan area and other areas on request. I live in Arlington, VA with my four shelties: Baxter, Sammy, Eleanor, and Teddy!
