Item Description
2 people will enjoy 6 days/ 5 nights immersed in the culture and chocolate of Belize in Central America.
The Lodge at Big Falls is a small, intimate, privately owned property with only 8 guest cottages on approximately 30 acres of beautiful grounds and tropical orchards. Birding, tubing or kayaking down the Rio Grande river that winds around the property's perimeter, a swim in the hot springs, or relaxing by the pristine pool with a mojitoare just a few the onsite activities.
Included in the package itinerary are two chocolate-making experiences forming the program activities' central theme. The one is a local Mayan farmer and his wife who have created Ixcacao, an artisanal chocolate manufacturer. The other is a boutique chocolate maker managing the entire process from farm to bean to bar. Visit a spice farm growing vanilla, cardamom, black pepper, and a host of other spices. In Big Falls village, the Cal family will host you and explain their traditional way of life. A visit to the Mayan ruins, birding Zip lining, a visit to the local market, hiking and exploring the underwater caves, picnic lunches, and swimming in the refreshing falls are activities nearby.
Inclusive of airport transfer, guide/ground transportation, all meals finished with a chocolate treat, and luxury accommodations. Please refer to the attached itinerary for exact details. The package excludes airfare, personal insurance, gratuities, and any activities not mentioned in the attached itinerary.
