SECRET, 2022, huile sur toile, 23 in x 29 in
This painting questions the power of secrecy in the context of a contemporary society invaded by screens and social networks. The seated woman with her back to the light surrounded by palmyra leaves symbolizing the change. She faces the Monarch butterfly which symbolizes transformation in secret. The woman character is painted in black and white in a multicolored environment thus creating a contrast which symbolizes the ancient mores and those of the contemporary world.
