Item Description
(See "In memory of" in "Of Special Note" below. Also please see Note on condition at bottom of this listing). "Discoveries Unlimited" designed and constructed coveted necklaces in the 1970s+. They frequently sold to Saks Fifth Avenue NYC and got mention in the NY Times. The tiny beads on this necklace, I believe, are carnelian. The other stones appear to be turquoise. This simple vintage piece is great for casual or dress and looks wonderful on a solid dark/black or other color top. It fits (approximately) a 12.5-13" neck but more links can be added to the end (by the buyer). Due to the rounded shape, I cannot easily measure it end to end. NOTE: Since these pieces were strung in the '70s or '80s they may need to be restrung. Restringing will be up to the buyer. I have taken this into account with the pricing- as their pieces used to sell for significantly higher prices.
Item Special Note
In memory of my beloved mother who with her business partner ("Discoveries Unlimited") sold to Saks Fifth Ave NYC and small boutiques and got mention in the NY Times. A xerox copy of some NY Times mention/ad will be included. NOTE AGAIN: As mentioned above since the stringing is old on the vintage piece(s), restringing maybe necessary and will be up to the buyer.
